1. Introduction
Welcome to Seoul Cult ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing seoul-cult.com or purchasing any of our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before placing an order or subscribing.
These Terms apply to all visitors, subscribers, customers, and partners who access or use our website and services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will note the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.
2. About Seoul Cult
Seoul Cult is an independent print and digital magazine covering Seoul culture, food, travel, and hospitality. We publish six issues per year and offer both digital and physical editions.

3. Products & Services
Seoul Cult offers the following products and services:
3.1 Annual Digital Subscription An annual subscription providing access to six digital issues of Seoul Cult Magazine per year, delivered in PDF format to the email address provided at checkout. Your subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
3.2 Annual Physical + Digital Subscription An annual subscription providing six physical printed copies shipped to the address provided at checkout, plus six digital issues delivered by email. Physical copies are shipped from South Korea. International shipping times vary by destination.
3.3 Single Issue Purchase Individual issues of Seoul Cult Magazine available as one-off purchases, in digital (PDF) or physical format. Single issue purchases are non-recurring and do not constitute a subscription.
3.4 Partnerships & Advertising Seoul Cult offers brand partnership and advertising placements within print and digital editions, including sponsored content, display placements, and social amplification packages. Partnership terms are governed by a separate written agreement between Seoul Cult and the partner. These Terms apply to the extent not superseded by that agreement.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated. Seoul Cult reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing active subscriptions until the renewal date, at which point the new price will apply.
Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment provider. Seoul Cult does not store your full payment details. By completing a purchase, you authorise the charge to your selected payment method.
For subscriptions, you authorise recurring charges at the annual rate shown at checkout. You will be notified by email prior to each renewal.
5. Delivery
5.1 Digital Products Digital issues are delivered to the email address provided at checkout, typically within 24 hours of purchase or issue publication date. It is your responsibility to provide a valid and accessible email address. Seoul Cult is not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect email addresses or spam filters.
5.2 Physical Products Physical copies are shipped from South Korea. Estimated delivery times are:
— Asia-Pacific: 5–10 business days — Europe: 10–20 business days — North America and Middle East: 10–20 business days — Rest of world: 15–25 business days
These are estimates only. Seoul Cult is not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, or circumstances beyond our control. Customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes applicable in their country.
Physical copies will be sent to the shipping address provided at checkout. Address changes must be submitted to hello@seoul-cult.com before the relevant issue goes to print. We cannot redirect copies already dispatched.
6. Refund & Cancellation Policy
6.1 Digital Products All sales of digital products — including digital subscriptions and single digital issues — are final and non-refundable. By completing a digital purchase, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital product and waive any right of withdrawal or refund once the digital content has been delivered or made available.
If you have not yet accessed or downloaded your digital content, please contact us at hello@seoul-cult.com within 48 hours of purchase and we will review your request at our discretion.
6.2 Physical Products If your physical copy arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us at hello@seoul-cult.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date with your order details and, where applicable, photographic evidence of damage. We will offer a replacement copy or store credit at our discretion.
We do not accept returns of physical copies unless they arrive in a condition that renders them unusable.
6.3 Subscription Cancellation You may cancel your annual subscription at any time by contacting hello@seoul-cult.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused months within a billing period. You will continue to receive digital issues until the end of your paid term.
7. Intellectual Property
All content published in Seoul Cult Magazine — including editorial writing, photography, design, illustrations, and branding — is the property of Seoul Cult or its contributors and is protected by applicable copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or publish any content from Seoul Cult Magazine without prior written permission from Seoul Cult. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided Seoul Cult is credited as the source.
The Seoul Cult name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of Seoul Cult. You may not use them without prior written consent.
8. Partnerships & Advertising Terms
Brands and organisations engaging with Seoul Cult's partnership packages agree to the following:
— All creative assets must be supplied by the agreed deadline. Delays caused by late asset submission may result in placement in a subsequent issue without refund. — Seoul Cult reserves editorial independence. Sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such. Seoul Cult will not publish content that conflicts with its editorial values. — Partnership fees are payable as agreed in the separate partnership proposal or invoice. Seoul Cult reserves the right to withhold publication until payment is received in full. — Cancellation of a confirmed partnership within 30 days of the publication date will result in forfeiture of 50% of the agreed fee. Cancellations within 14 days will result in forfeiture of the full fee.
9. User Conduct
By using seoul-cult.com, you agree not to:
— Use the website for any unlawful purpose — Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems — Reproduce or distribute any content without authorisation — Engage in any conduct that could damage the reputation of Seoul Cult or its contributors
10. Privacy & Data
Seoul Cult collects personal data — including name, email address, and shipping address — for the purposes of fulfilling orders, delivering digital content, and communicating with subscribers. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required for payment processing and order fulfilment.
For subscribers based in the European Economic Area, Seoul Cult processes your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting hello@seoul-cult.com.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Seoul Cult shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website, including but not limited to loss of data, shipping delays, or third-party payment processing issues.
Our total liability to you in connection with any purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant product or service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Korea.
If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by this clause.
